Cequence Larch Fence Post - Profiled Top - 90mm x 90mm
Larch fence posts have a profiled top to suit our Cequence three part fencing. Profiled posts should be used in conjunction with our Cequence panels and capping rails to create a seamless slatted fence.
Our Larch posts are supplied with a free post saver sleeve that gives you a 20 year guarantee against rot.
Natural or treated
Cequence Larch Profiled posts are available ready treated with Cedar oil to give a similar colouring to Cedar or as natural Larch to match our Larch fencing panels.
Keeping things simple
All of our Cequence fencing products are interchangeable. You can use Redwood posts with Cedar panels or Larch posts with painted panels. This gives you the flexibility to choose a post that suits your budget. Remember that posts are not visible from the front of the fence so there may be areas where you can use more cost effective options.

Home Grown Larch is a very popular timber choice for its appearance and durability. It is used widely by Designers and Architects and is considered very eco friendly. The shapes and patterns of the grain are very aesthetically pleasing and provide real character together with the knots that add a distinctive look. The colour is normally light honey, straw to light brown. It looks particularly good when stained with Cedar oil or our Drift Larch stain as this enhances the timbers colour or it can be left to naturally age to silver grey.
Our home grown Larch originates from Britain. The trees used are from managed woodlands, making this timber a eco friendly choice. These characteristics make Larch perfect for external cladding, fencing as well as other features like joinery, decking, and flooring.
Larch is not as vulnerable to knocks, scrapes and scratches. This is an important aspect for fencing as it will mean your boundary will be robust and stand the test of time. If you compare this to standard treated soft wood fencing you can see that home grown Larch really is a great option.
Larch does sometimes develop shakes or small splits as the wood dries out, this does not in any way affect the strength or durability of the wood. This is just a natural characteristic of home-grown Larch.
At the beginning of the 20th century, 5% of land area in Britain was woodland; it is now 10% and growing – as members of Woodland Heritage, Our suppliers are proud to support and encourage this growth. The British Larch we use is hand selected and comes from sustainable forests where new trees are planted to re-stock the woodlands.
GRADING INFORMATION
Cequence home grown A grade. (The Cequence team hand select your order)
Even spread of knots but areas of clear timber, knots permitted.
Sound tight (live / intergrown) knots typically under 20mm diameter, though some may occasionally exceed this.
Average of three knots per metre over total length of material excluding pin knots.
Compression wood permied within grade – occasional.
Deformation permitted within grade – Boards with minor curvature and twisting permitted within grade.
Lateral checks and splits are permitted
(these do not effect durability of wood).
