Tanalised timber has a slight green tinge to it when its new, this is due to the pressure treatment process. The colour will fade and naturalize over time then you can stain the panels if you want to or you can just allow to naturally silver with age.

Our tanalised Venetian slatted fence panels are a contemporary style fence panel, designed to create a continuous line of fencing with no visible posts, or they can be fitted within existing slotted posts.

The treated redwood battens are 44mm x 18mm and there is a 7mm gap between each batten.

Our Venetian fencing panels are sold in handy 60cm and 90cm high panels that can be stacked above each other to achieve your required fence height. The join between stacked Venetian panels is invisible so it will look like a single panel once installed.

Don’t forget to buy screws to attach your panels to posts – you can find our 63mm powder coated screws in the fixing section of our website.

We also sell Width adjustment kits for these panels so you can easily change the size to suit your project

Why we use Scandinavian Redwood?

Colour UV Protection

The colour treatment of our battens is opaque allowing the wood grain to be visible through the attractive red / brown colour. This colour is applied as part of the pressure treatment process and is not the natural colour of the wood. The battens are always slightly darker when the battens are new, this is because battens take a few weeks to dry out after treatment. Once the battens are fully dry you can apply a UV protector to protect the colour and prevent it fading. See our woodcare section for UV protection stain.

Great Quality

The colour, timber grade and planed finish of these battens have been selected by Contemporary Fencing to give our customers a quality alternative to Cedar at a fraction of the cost. These battens really are special, there is simple no other treated redwood that comes close in appearance and value. We offer samples of our redwood so please get in contact or come and see us in our landscaping showroom so you can see the quality for yourself.

Treatment

Planed on all sides for a smooth finish our treated Scandinavian Redwood battens and posts are stunning. The complex pressure treatment protects the wood making it ideal for use in exterior situations. These battens are cross cut to size prior to the treatment process so that the ends are also treated and the battens are all the same length.

Delivered trellis in the requested week to arrive at the same time as the other fence materials. Great quality trellis (Siberian slatted), it slots nicely into the fence posts and makes lights behind look delicate, like everyone has nicely tilted privacy shutters. We fitted it on a Jackson's horizontal tongue and groove with the wooden posts and capping rail, which made it look like everything fit together as one piece. Well worth framing with a capping rail if you're fitting trellis, it made a huge difference when the rails went on. Thanks to the team, it's exactly what we wanted and zero hassle.

I don't often write reviews, but if it helps anyone else looking for the same thing I should say that I am impressed with the bespoke cedar panels and capping they have supplied. They were cheaper and quicker than the other suppliers I contacted - so I was a little unsure of what I would get, but they are well-made, the dimensions are accurate, and ordering and delivery have been straightforward.
