This is the esiest way to plan made to measure garden seating to suit your space.
Ideal for costing projects by Garden Designers, Landscapers an Home owners

You can have the perfect seating area built to your specification. The bench can have Legs – Brackets as a floating bench or can be mounted on top of a wall.

Nine times out of ten, the bench someone actually wants isn’t a size you can buy off a shelf. It has to fit a particular corner, or run the length of a wall, or wrap around a patio. This tool has been built so you can create the perfect seating area

Pick your shape, put in your measurements, and choose whether it sits on cedar legs, floats on hidden brackets, or drops straight onto a wall you’ve already got. The drawing and the price upates as you go. When you place an order our workshop team will contact you to finalise all the details

How it works

  1. Pick the shape and the sizes. Straight, an L for a corner, or a U to wrap three sides — down to the millimetre.
  2. Choose how it’s fixed. Cedar legs, hidden wall brackets, wall‑mounted, or just the top if it’s going on a wall. Each side can be different.
  3. See the price and order. Your drawing and full price appear straight away. Order online and we’ll confirm everything with you before we build it.

Why every bench is cedar

We make them in Canadian Western Red Cedar, and we’re happy to tell you why we don’t use the cheaper stuff. Cedar is light to handle and it stays where you put it — it doesn’t cup and twist the way budget softwood does once the sun gets on it. The timber is naturally oily, so it copes with British weather far better than most. Leave it be and it’ll settle to a soft silver‑grey over a season or two. Want to keep that warm honey colour instead? A UV oil once a year holds it. Either way, it’s doing its job outside all year round.

A bespoke L-shaped bench

Made to your measurements, not ours

There’s no standard size to squeeze your garden into. You give us the lengths and the seat depth, we build to it. That’s the difference between a bench that fits the space and one that’s nearly right.

Your choice of support, side by side

Every side can be set up differently. Cedar legs where you want them, hidden brackets for the floating look, wall‑mounted where it meets brick — or leave a run as a top‑only if it’s sitting on an existing wall. Mix them however the install needs.

We build these ourselves in our Faversham workshop and deliver across mainland UK.

FAQs

We use Canadian Western Red Cedar because it holds up outside better than the cheaper softwoods most garden furniture is made from. It’s naturally oily, so it shrugs off damp, and it stays put instead of cupping and splitting in the sun. Left alone it weathers to a silver‑grey; a coat of UV oil once a year keeps the original colour if you’d rather.

Straight, L‑shaped for a corner, or U‑shaped to wrap three sides — all built to the exact size you ask for. When you’re measuring, Length 1 is the longest run (the back), and the width is how deep the seat is. There’s nothing standard to fit into; you tell us the space and we make it to suit.

Each side of the bench is set up on its own, so you can mix them. Choose cedar timber legs, hidden wall brackets for a floating look, or wall‑mounted support — or order just the bench top if it’s going on top of a wall you already have. Handy when one end meets brick and the other stands in the open.

Yes — order the top only and we’ll make it to the length and depth you need to sit on your existing wall. If you’d sooner have it float off the face of the wall, go for the hidden bracket option instead.

Measure the space where it’s going and put the length and seat depth into the designer; for L and U shapes, measure each run on its own. If you’re not sure, send us the measurements and a couple of photos and we’ll check them over before anything’s cut — we do this every day, so don’t worry about getting it perfect first go.
