Venetian Redwood Fence Panels - Pressure Treated Natural Colour - A + grade
Our Venetian Redwood Pressure Treated Fence Panels are the perfect option if you are looking for great quality and price. Made from pressure treated Scandinavian redwood in our UK based workshop. The Redwood timber is pressure treated to protect it from the elements also giving it an attractive colouring that still allows you to appreciate the wonderful wood grain. You can rest assured that this really is the best treated softwood you will find on the market.
The slatted look of Venetian fence panels is a very popular style of fencing. It works in both contemporary and traditional gardens. We have carefully selected the timber for these fence panels, it is unsorted grade redwood. This means it has minimal knots and is quality controlled. The lovely colouring also sets these panels apart.
Venetian fence panels are a contemporary style horizontal slatted panel, designed to create a continuous line of fencing with no visible posts. The most popular way of fitting these panels is to have them fixed to the front of the posts so that you don't have a break between each panel.
The Redwood battens are planed on all four sides and have gently eased corners. The batten sizes are 44mm x 15mm and the gap is 7mm.
These fencing panels are sold in handy 60cm and 90cm high sections that can be stacked above each other to achieve your desired fence height. If your desired fencing height is different you can easily trim off battens as required. The join between stacked Venetian panels is invisible so it will look like a single panel once installed.
Don't forget to buy screws to attach your panels to posts - you can find our 63mm powder coated screws in the fixing section of our website.
Fencing Perfection
Our Venetian slatted fence panels are made so that the battens line up perfectly. If you are looking for the horizontal slatted look then its so important the panels all align correctly. Our unique manufacturing process is very accurate and precise. You can rest assured that the lines of your slatted fencing will run true when purchasing our Venetian panels. If you are comparing products ask the question 'do the battens line up perfectly?' before you buy.

Origins of Venetian style
We have all heard of Venetian blinds, but why did people call this type of blind Venetian?
The answer is no one knows for certain! but the origins are likely to lie in the Far East. It is assumed that Venice traders who bought from the East would have discovered this new way of covering windows. When they sold them in Europe they took on the name 'Venetian Blinds' after the traders who sold them. The rest as they say is History!
Our fencing was not discovered by Venetians but was made in the South East (of England)
We hope that we deserve to use the name 'Venetian' and that like the blinds it may find its way all across Europe one day.

Venetian Scandinavian Redwood Fence Panel
Planed on all sides for a smooth finish our treated Scandinavian Redwood is a great option for garden fencing. The complex pressure treatment protects the wood making it ideal for use in exterior situations. These battens are cross cut to size prior to the treatment process so that the ends are also treated and the battens are all the same length.
The colour, timber grade and planed finish of these battens have been selected by Contemporary Fencing to give our customers a quality alternative to Cedar at a fraction of the cost. These battens really are special, there is simple no other treated redwood that comes close in appearance and value.
We offer samples of our redwood so please get in contact or come and see us in our landscaping showroom so you can see the quality for yourself.
We offer Redwood in tanalised green treated and brown treated finishes. Both offer fantastic protection and are ideal for outdoor projects.
The colour treatment of our battens is opaque allowing the wood grain to be visible through the attractive red / brown or green colour. This colour is applied as part of the pressure treatment process and is not the natural colour of the wood. The battens are always slightly darker when the battens are new, this is because battens take a few weeks to dry out after treatment. Once the battens are fully dry you can apply a UV protector to protect the colour and prevent it fading. See our woodcare section for UV protection stain.
important Note:- Our Treated Redwood fencing and battens are made form high quality Scandinavian redwood that is pressure treated to give a long lasting finish. It is a softwood that is suitable for outdoor use. Redwood battens and boards can develop small lateral splits and checks as the wood drys out. This does not effect the durability of the wood and it is not considered a defect as its a natural characteristic of the wood. If you are looking for perfect fencing that will not have these small imperfections then we recommend that you choose Cedar.
1000s of customers choose our Redwood fencing every year including designers and landscapers. It really is the best!
